Week #5 Post
There was startup called WebTV back in 1996. I graduated from high school in 1995 and thought this was going to be the best thing ever.
This was a simple gadget that had a console and a keyboard. They had the right idea but it was just a little before its time. This item was supposed to be a hit with email for the older generation that did not like or know how to use a computer. The mobile revolution was just starting and I believe that is why this startup failed. I remember it all started with pagers then moved to mobile phones that only made and received phone calls. Just a few years later the home computer had taken over the market for email.
